Queen: Days of Our Lives (2011)
Directed by Matt O’Casey
Queen formed in 1971, and within a few short years they were one of the biggest bands in the world. Director Matt O’Casey takes a look at this controversial and hugely successful band in this new documentary. Originally released in two parts, the film is now available on home video.
The film includes new interviews with some of the people who contributed to their success, as well as archival footage from their twenty plus years together. Also included are rare outtakes from recording sessions and music videos.
This is an amazing inside look at this band. To summarize the story would be almost impossible. The movie takes you from their first performances and album, to the last time they took the stage together. In addition to the music, the film looks at their lives and struggles. I would suggest this documentary for anyone who loves the music this band made. They were an incredible team that changed the world of music.
The blu-ray copy of this series includes bonus footage and music videos produced by the band.
I give this documentary 4.3 out of 5 stars.
