The 1960s were another great decade for the movie industry. As society began to question the way things had always been, the film industry was doing the same.  The old stars continued to produce during the 60s, and a new group of stars entered the business. Some of the new faces in Hollywood included Dustin Hoffman, Julie Andrews, and Peter O’Toole just to name a few. Together these stars gave us a decade of incredible films.

It was also another good decade for musicals with movies like The Sound of Music, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady. All three of these films would in Best Picture at the Academy Awards in their respective years.Another set of musics also hit the big screen in the 60s, these would star some of the biggest artists in music. Elvis would star in  a number of movies showcasing his musical talents and good looks. The Beatles would also get in on the act with two films of their own.

The Oscars went through a change in the sixties also, 1964 was the last year that the Oscars would be broadcast in black and white.

Here are the reviews I’ve done on movies from the 60s:

Don’t for get about the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, or 2010s!
