Denzel Washington is one of the great leading men of his generation. He’s been able to play the most evil or despicable of men, as well as the best kind of people. From Philadelphia to American Gangster Washington has proven his skill time and time again. He’s one of my favorite actors due to his ability to find the emotional depth of every role he takes. His performances are always memorable, and he’s able to elevate material with his talent. To date, Washington has been nominated for six Academy Awards, winning twice.
